Unique Influence CEO, Ryan Pitylak, was recently featured in our technology partner, 4C Insights’, State of Social Advertising report. The report breaks down the key trends amongst all of the major social media platforms and analyzes the growth of each.
The advertising world continues to shift from a traditional print and TV focused approach towards digital. July 2016 data from Magna Global found that US digital and TV ad spending were in a dead heat for share of advertising dollars, with each medium expected to garner about 38% of average media plan budget allocation this year. Growing at 44%, social media advertising is the biggest contributing factor in digital advertising equaling TV ad sales.
Ryan notes that there are several key trends that social advertisers need to be aware of:
- Advertisers are adopting video with great success on Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat
- A unified message across offline and online channels results in up to a 3x lift in engagement
- Advertisers are adapting to new ways users consume media by shifting their creative approach to ads
