We had the pleasure of attending the Game Developers Conference Next (GDC Next) Expo on November 3-4 in sunny Los Angeles. GDC does great work to bring the video game community together—makers, marketers, and companies alike. This year GDC featured the App Developers Conference (ADC), which focused on non-game and enterprise app developer markets like app creation, UI/UX, marketing and business. Here are a few of our favorite things:
1. Raph Koster’s presentation on Practical Creativity. At Unique Influence, we deliver results through an expertise in strategic and iterative creative testing. Our creative point of view directly aligns with that of Koster, who discussed that creativity is, “actually a straightforward process that you can [make happen].” Here at Unique Influence, we make it happen. 2. As a multi-channel digital ad agency, we constantly seize opportunities, across multiple channels, to help our clients achieve measurable success. Japheth Dillman, CCO of Yetizen, spoke to one of those many channels—app store optimization.
3. Long live the global brand! The Building a Global Mobile Brand with Longevity panel shared insights and experiences with launching apps into brands that last and last and last.
5. Alejandro Manchado talked showing the right in-app message to the right customer at the right time in his presentation, Monetizing Free-to-Play: Making the Most of In-App Purchases and Ads. Speaking of which, check out our approach to personalizing the customer journey.
